Introducing Jesus - The Easter Story!
In this engaging lesson, students are introduced to the events and significance of the end of Jesus’ life - the Easter Story.
The learning is guided by a clear and colourful PowerPoint presentation, which guides students through the following step-by-step journey:
-Knowledge harvesting - gauging what children already know about the Easter Story;
-Watching a short,child-friendly, interesting video (hyperlinked) about the Easter Story, before answering questions about its content;
-Storyboarding Activity - Sequencing the key events of the Easter Story;
-Considering how Easter is celebrated in the present day, and thinking about how Easter symbols represent key features of the Easter Story;

In this engaging lesson, students develop their understanding of how Christianity teaches Christians to live their lives. They consider their routines and actions, and how these impact on others. They then learn about the story of the Good Samaritan, and consider the key messages that can be learnt from this.
The learning is guided by a clear and colourful PowerPoint presentation, which guides students through the following step-by-step journey:
-Thinking about their own routines and activities, how these are meaningful to them, and considering how often they help others;
-Introducing children to the story of the Good Samaritan (watching an engaging video (which is hyperlinked) and answering comprehension questions based on what they have seen and heard;
-Answering deeper thinking questions to consider the messages that Christians take from this story;
-Creating posters to encourage people to help others;
-Self-reflecting on the extent to which they feel they have met the learning objective.

What is the Holy Trinity? (fully-resourced enquiry-led RE unit!)
This resource pack contains all of the presentations, worksheets and activities needed to teach an engaging and progressive 6-week enquiry-led RE unit of learning. This unit aims to equip children with the knowledge and skills needed to answer the big question: ‘What is the Holy Trinity?’
The unit is broken down into 6 sessions:
Three Persons in One God;
God the Father part 1 - Creation and the Old Testament;
God the Father part 2 - The Ten Commandments;
God the Son - The Baptism of Jesus Christ;
God the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is sent after the Death of Jesus;
Assessment Lesson (assessment provided).
All of the resources are provided to teach each lesson (in the past we have taught them as double lessons and spread into 12 separate sessions) and each presentation contains key questions through the 3 lenses of theology, philosophy and human/social sciences. Worksheets are provided in both Word (to allow editing) and PDF (to protect formatting).
Each session contains knowledge recall based on learning from prior in the unit, a range of worksheet/ video/ creative resources to enhance engagement and a return to the enquiry question in the reflection section of the lesson.
These resources are tried and tested and best suited to children in years 3 and 4. They are aligned with the age-related expectations used by the vast majority of regions/ diocese boards.
When downloaded, the resources will be open in the download and also copied within the zip file.
The Bible - The Ten Commandments!
In this engaging and informative lesson, students learn about the different ways in which Christians interpret the Bible, with a particular focus on the Ten Commandments. They learn through:
-Recalling and remembering foundation contextual facts about the Bible;
-Predicting, reading, interpreting and sequencing the Ten Commandments;
-Analysing how different Christians may read the commandments, depending upon if they are fundamentalist or liberal;
-Considering important rules and procedures that should be followed at school, to create their own 'School Commandments’;
-Evaluating their School Commandments through thought-provoking reflection questions;
This resource pack contains a comprehensive and colourful 16-slide Powerpoint, which guides teachers and students through the learning activities. Challenge activities are provided in order to enrich learning for higher-attaining learners. A template worksheet is also provided (in Word and PDF) for the students to scribe their school commandments.

In this engaging and informative lesson, students learn about how the Bible teaches of humans’ responsibility for looking after the Earth. They consider how humans are faring with this responsibility at present, before exploring ways that we can look after our planet going forwards. They learn through:
-Recalling and remembering foundation contextual facts about the Bible;
-Defining the term ‘responsibility’ and learning how God gave humans responsibility for looking after planet Earth (Creation Story - Genesis 1 and 2);
-Using research skills to explore given websites and find out how humans are treating the planet at present;
-Considering their own roles in fulfilling the human responsibility;
-Designing posters to enable other people to save our planet as a part of our human responsibility.

Forgiveness Collective Worship Session!
This fun and original collective worship session aims to assist children in understanding the value of showing forgiveness, through:
Understanding what forgiveness is, and recognising why it is important;
Understanding what the bible teaches us about forgiveness, and learning about how Jesus demonstrated forgiveness;
Looking at examples of times when they may need to forgive others or seek forgiveness, through stories and scenarios;
Learning strategies to demonstrate forgiveness in their own lives.
This worship session is tried and tested, and has always been really well received in the past. The slides are visually engaging and well-presented, and the subject matter is tailored to the interests and needs of young people. For example, there are references to scenarios and dilemmas that they themselves might find themselves in (for example how they might act during and after conflicts) in order to help them to make the right choices in their own lives.
The session also includes an enduring real-life story of Nelson Mandela’s forgiveness of others, an engaging video depicting the bible story of how Jesus forgave Peter, and various discussion activities regarding how to show forgiveness in different areas of their own lives. No further resources are required, everything that you need to present the assembly is included.
The slides are fairly self-explanatory, but I’ve included two pages of notes to assist the speaker. Hope that you find this useful!
Peace - Collective Worship!
This fun and original collective worship session assists children in understanding the value of peace, through:
Understanding what peace is, and recognising why it is important;
Understanding what Christianity/ the bible teaches us about peace;
Looking at examples of behaviour that is peaceful and not peaceful and considering what can be done to promote peace;
Learning strategies to demonstrate peacefulness in their own lives.
This session is tried and tested, and has always been really well received in the past. The slides are visually engaging and well-presented, and the subject matter is tailored to the interests and needs of young people.
The session also includes an engaging bible story (shown and told on a video - included), detailing how Abigail’s peaceful outlook prevented her husband from facing a devastating conflict. Furthermore, there are interesting scenarios (with scripts provided) that enable children to consider how to act peacefully in different situations. Various discussion prompts are also presented, to enable children to understand how peace can be a force for good in their own lives.
The slides are fairly self-explanatory, but I’ve included two pages of notes to assist the speaker. Hope that you find this useful!

Introducing Buddha's Image!
This interesting session aims to introduce children to some key images of the Buddha, providing them with an opportunity to decode some of the key meanings within pictures and sculptures. Children learn that there are many different representations of the Buddha, aiming to portray different aspects of Siddhartha Gautama’s life and character.
